CLASS was honoured to have been an attendee of the recently concluded IFRRO Asia Pacific Committee Meeting 2025, graciously hosted by the Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO).
Attended by more than a dozen CMOs, delegates were also joined by various key industry experts from the local community, with key developments in India’s publishing and copyright sector being discussed. As part of the wider conference, delegates further deliberated over pressing topics affecting CMOs in the APAC region, such as challenges and opportunities faced in educational licensing, regional policy developments, collective management in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and best practices regarding commercial licensing.
During the event, CLASS also signed an amendment with the Copyright Clearance Centre (CCC), with both organisations seeking to develop synergy in licensing copyrighted content towards businesses corporations. No doubt, all of which served to deepen relations between the two CMOs.
It was an utmost pleasure for CLASS to have been present at the conference, and we look forward to meeting our sister CMOs at the next event.
