About CLASS’s New Licensee
Joining the effort in strengthening licensing structures to stamp out infringement, ISS International School is the latest educational institution to commit itself towards Championing Respect for Copyright.
Founded in 1981 by the late visionary Singaporean politician, Mr. Chan Chee Seng, ISS International School has developed over the decades, and is now a not-for-profit, family-owned school that commits itself in enabling students to fulfil their potential by inspiring them to be global citizens through effective education. It is through this that ISS International School has come to realise the importance of copyright protection, and how it sustains a creative cycle for new materials to be generated and shared for the purposes of developing society. As one of the newest licensees of CLASS, we could not be more excited for an institution of such stature to be a part of CLASS’s growing pool of
organisations dedicated to upholding copyright.
A Word from ISS International School
Having been in discussions with CLASS regarding the importance of copyright protection, Ms Genevieve Ang from ISS International School has mentioned that the school has made great strides towards copyright protection. “ISS is committed to providing a rich and ethical learning environment where high-quality educational resources are used responsibly.” said Ms Genevieve Ang.
She went on to further state that “Through the CLASS licence, ISS supports creators and publishers by enabling fair compensation for the use of their works. In addition, ISS actively promotes copyright awareness among educators and students, embedding ethical information use into teaching practices and school culture.”
Indeed, Ms Ang’s words serves as great motivation for CLASS to continue in our mission of stamping infringement, eliminating unauthorised use of copyright works of our members and affiliates in the process.

With such support, CLASS can only wait in anticipation to see who will be our next licensee to make strides in Championing Respect for Copyright and ensure a sustainable creative economy!
