Copyright School Challenge 2025/2026: Video Competition
The call to shine beckons once again with the fifth edition of The Copyright School Challenge: Video Competition! With the theme of “The Worlds We Make”, CLASS calls on all students aged 13 to 18 from all local and international schools to come participate and showcase their idea of “The Worlds We Make” through a creative video!
About the Competition
In its fifth annual video competition, CLASS continues to encourage students to champion respect for copyright through the production of their very own cinematic masterpiece. Open up to individuals or teams of up four students, the winning entry will be the one that best reflects the theme of “The Worlds We Make”, or best conveys the idea of what “The Worlds We Make” means to the participants. All submissions must be creative and original and must be no longer than 90 seconds in length.
Eligibility
– Participants must be aged 13 to 18.
– Participants can participate as an individual or as a team of up to 4 people.
– The video must be an original work and must be no longer than 90 seconds in length. File size should not exceed 200MB.
– The video must be submitted in high resolution (MP4 or MOV file) by Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
– Submissions must follow the competition’s theme of “The Worlds We Make”. Failure of which will cause entries not to be considered.
Workshop
There will be a video workshop help in conjunction with the competition. The video workshop is an opportunity for participants to explore video production and editing methods while also learning about the importance of copyright and originality. The workshop will be reserved for those who register their interest for the competition by 28 February 2026 and is limited to a first-come, first -served basis. Details of the session will be provided by January 2026.

Announcement of Winners
– Winners will be notified during the prize presentation ceremony at the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) in May 2026. Details will be provided at a later date.
– CLASS encourages winners to be present for the awards presentation ceremony. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
How to Participate
- Create your video based on the theme of Discovery.
- Submit your video in high resolution (MP4 or MOV file) by Tuesday, 31 March 2026.

Terms and Conditions
- All registration and entries must be filled and submitted by the team leader, parents, teachers, or guardians of the participants (student or child). Each participant can submit only one entry, and videos must be in MP4 or MOV format and no larger than 200MB in size. Submissions must follow the competition’s theme, failure of which will cause entries to be disqualified.
- Participants (students) must submit their entries by Tuesday, 31 March 2026. All submissions must be made via the online form available at https://cscvc2025-26.paperform.co/.
- CLASS may cancel or suspend the competition without prior notice.
- Selected participants shall be entitled to attend a video production workshop at no charge. The workshop will be conducted regardless whether the competition is cancelled or suspended.
- Only entries that are received by CLASS by the closing date will be eligible for the Competition. CLASS will not accept responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, or damaged. Proof of submitting an online entry is not equivalent to proof that CLASS has received the entry.
- Entries:a. must not have previously been submitted to another competition or published in any other media (including the internet, social media, newspapers, magazines or school publications);b. must be the original works of the participating individual or team, and must not contain any third party material (including but not limited to video footage, artwork or music), except with the licence or consent of the third party; andc. must not contain any footage or other material generated using artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools. AI tools may be used solely and strictly only to edit or enhance the original footage.Entries which do not fulfil any of the criteria set out above will be disqualified.
- In the event an entry is disqualified for any reason, any award given to the entry will be revoked and the participant shall be required to return any prizes received.
- All personal information including contact details (email and contact number) must be provided and accurate. Participants may be contacted for purposes of the competition and the video making workshop.
- Participants agree that CLASS and its partners and sponsors for the competition may reproduce, communicate to the public (including by publication on CLASS’s website), and otherwise use any winning entries.
- The decision of the judges is final, and no appeal will be entertained.
- Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony during the Asia Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) in May 2026, with the date to be confirmed. CLASS encourages parents/guardians, teachers and participants to be present for the ceremony to receive the prize.
